A downloadable exhibition

Nonlimerent // Monosexual: An Aromantic and Asexual History was an in-person history and art exhibition located at the Louis Joel Gallery in Altona, Victoria, Australia, which ran from 1-20 February 2025. This page contains a digital copy of most of the same content, excluding artworks, physical exhibits and some copyrighted materials.

"Nonlimerent", coined by Dorothy Tennov in 1979, and "monosexual", by Karl Maria Kertbeny in 1868, are terms that have historically held similar meaning to "aromantic" and "asexual". This history and art exhibition explores the forces, individuals and events that have shaped a-spec identity over time.
